who is the quangle-wangle?
The Quangle-Wangle is an elderly friend of Violet, Slingsby, Guy and Lionel, who appear in ‘The Story Of The Four Little Children Who Went Round The World,’ (ch.2 of A Book of Nonsense), by children’s writer, Edward Lear.
He is known for steering the boat, hurling pumpkins, playing an Accordion and sitting “with his head in his slipper for at least a week.” And here is his marvelous hat.
