About the festival
Bellport Children’s Festival is held every summer on MAMA Farm, the private farm of Isabella Rossellini, in the historic seaside town of Bellport, Long Island, NY.
Founded by Elizabeth Starkey, we are an English-style storytelling festival that’s tiny, whimsical, and immersive.
Why are we different? We invite children to dive inside stories - as budding listeners, readers, actors, musicians, illustrators and writers - so they may find joy in telling their own amazing tales.
What are you waiting for? Jump on your pet whale and sail to our land of stories!
Saturday, 20th July, 2019.
10am-5pm. Rain or shine.
2019 line-up
Our program is stuffed silly.
Come see WondersSpark, the best puppet theatre in NY, Quogue Wildlife Refuge’s badass owls, Michael Hearst’s Songs of Unusual Creatures and The Gateway and Storystock’s hilariously-hyper fairytales. Meet our talented host and creative partner, Isabella Rossellini. Explore workshops, garden games and a real Hansel & Gretel house. Join the East Coast’s first Color Kindness event and the inaugural opening of The Runcible Spoon, our kids-only café. Be brave and hold Eric Power’s spider or say boo to a boa. We will if you do.
10am to 5pm. Prepare to stay all day.
